As technology advances, consumers are often confronted with the dilemma of continuing to use old standards or staying on the cutting edge.

Now that the DVD (Digital Versatile Disc) is a widespread standard, many VHS formats are falling by the waistside. DVDs offer finer picture and sound quality, improved durability, and many features, such as interactive menus and chapter selection, that do not exist in the world of VHS.

However, many consumers still use video tapes as their lone media and still others are simply uninformed about current advances in video technology. It is my belief that, due to the worldwide use and acceptance of video as a medium, as well as differences in price, quality and preferences, everyone in this age should be educated about the options available to them.

For some, video tape is archaic and for others, all the bells and whistles of DVDs are unnecessary. Therefore, we have provided some links to help better inform our visitors about the pros and cons of various video formats.

We hope that you come away with a greater understanding of the available technologies and how they fit your lifestyle!
